Trailer ↠´ Blood and Honey PDF by ↠´ Graham Hurley Perhaps because I had not read any of the previous books in the series, I struggled with this It just did not hold my interest Too many policemen all named was this necessary made it confusing the outcome was patently obvious The bits about the Isle of Wight were well written and the best part of the book I shall not be reading any books by this author.
This is book 6 in the excellent Joe Faraday novels, set in Portsmouth, England Faraday is a decent officer with an interesting backstory I also like his collection of police colleagues, especially Winter, who faced a particular challenge in this book I look forward to completing the Faraday series in 2013 This book did not disappoint Hurley writes consistently good and interesting police procedurals with interesting characters.
The sixth DI Joe Faraday and DC Paul Winter mystery begins with a birdwatcher discovering a headless body beneath the cliffs on the Isle of Wight The male body has obviously been in the water for a while and the grazers of the ocean have taken their toll Identification of the body with no head and no fingertips proves illusive.
DI Joe Faraday and his team investigate the suspicious death Was the missing head removed as a consequence of some natural calamity in the ocean or did it have human aid in being separated from the body At length, the post mortem confirms that the head was sawed off, but it is still missing and the police are no closer to putting a name to the body or finding out how it came to be where it was.
Then, a break A young man who drove a delivery van is missing and has been gone for months His family hasn t been worried because this was typical behavior, but before he I am a fan of British thrillers and was happy when one of my patients gave this to me This book is part of a series that I would be interested in reading the rest of Now that I am back in Michigan I am once again ending my sentences with prepositions, UGH I would like to know about the characters although this series is about DI Faraday it focused on DI Winter I think Winter is probably the less sympathetic character in the previous books and this book showed that he can be vulnerable Like I said earlier, I need to read the rest of the series I think this book was meant to be the turning point for one of the series side characters.
I would recommend this to fans of British thrillers.

Complex plot believable characters plausible story line Thoroughly enjoyed this book.
Gave up after first few chapters I would like to be generous to say that its the sixth novel with the same characters so perhaps reading this one first added to my confusion Too many complex characters with history and issues that left me confused and lost, and not that interested in the plot to battle through the messy web the story was weaving If I could rate it a zero star I would.
The Discovery Of A Headless Corpse In The Sea Beneath The Cliffs Is A Grim Beginning For Detective Inspector Joe Farraday S Latest Investigation On The Isle Of Wight Identifying The Body Proves Impossible, But The Disappearance Of A Young Delivery Driver Who S Fallen Foul Of A Local Nursing Home Owner An Ex Soldier With A Violent Temper Gives The Team An Important Lead Meanwhile, Detective Constable Winter S Life Lurches From Crisis To Crisis As He Becomes Involved With A Beautiful Young Prostitute At The Center Of An Investigation Of A Powerful Local Businessman Winter S Problems Are Further Compounded By A Series Of Vicious And Debilitating Migraines, The Implications Of Which Are Alarming For Winter, It S Beginning To Look As If Time Is Running Out The Sixth Novel In This Highly Praised Series Of Police Procedurals And The Best Yet Two cases being worked at the same time, works well and enjoyed it.
