Download Epub Format ↠´ Cross Stitch PDF by ↠´ Amanda James This is a sequel to A Stitch In Time, which was from the Choc Lit stable A nice easy relaxing read Where we met a stitch named Sarah a needle named John We re still following Sarah Johns story This book is better than the first involvestime travelinvolvment with other family characters A real good read the author has room to write a follow up to this book Here s hoping Back in March 2013, I reviewed A Stitch In Time by Amanda James and made no secret of how much I enjoyed it great fun, the product of an exceptional imagination, highly original, and a book that left me with a smile on my face After a brief detour to produce the equally excellent but very different Somewhere Beyond The Sea, the author is back with a second book in the Time Traveller series, Cross Stitch Published for Kindle by Choc Lit on 9 December, I m delighted to report that I loved it every bit as much as the first.
This book takes up the story of Sarah a Stitch and John a Needle , joining them as they prepare for their wedding the controllers the Spindly Ones have made an exception for them, not wiped their memories, and they re preparing for a happy future But th

A fun sequel to A Stitch in Time More adventures in stitching for Sarah, needling for John and a new character in Veronica.
I received a free copy of this novel from the publisher via NetGalley in return for an honest review.
I have to be honest I didn t like this novel as much as the previous novel A Stitch in Time Whilst there were less irritations in the first book many old sayings apparently originated from actual events involving Needlers and Stitches.
Sarah is a Stitch which means she goes back in time to save someone and prevent history from unravelling Her soon to be husband John is a Needler, they act as assistants handlers for Stitches Ordinarily Stitches only undertake three missions but in the first book Sarah got into trouble, John defied the Powers That Be who govern time travel and, in exchange for reversing a terrible punishment inflicted on John, Sarah agreed to continue stitching beyond her three trips.
Sara It s been a couple of years since I read A Stitch in Time , so I made the decision to re read the first book before moving onto Cross Stitch In doing so, I ve had the most wonderful couple of days reimersing myself in John and Sarah s world, laughing along with their banter, and nervously witnessing Sarah s trips to the past I d definitely recommend making a reading marathon out of the two books one after the other, as you just become a part of the Stitch and Needler world, and I wasthan happy to get lost in it.
Cross Stitch had the same essence to A Stitch in Time , a brilliant underlying level of humour, and a sweet tenderness that tugged at my heartstrings I loved seeing John and Sarah in their happily ever after, and how Sarah s decision to continuing stitching at the e Cross Stitch is the sequel to A Stitch in Time and while there is some backstory in Cross Stitch, to experience the uniqueness of the plot I would recommend you also read A Stitch in Time.
Usually receiving a warning before travelling in time, on her wedding day Sarah receives no warning at all This isn t the only thing that is different but I can t say why no spoilers.
While those at home are very concerned, Sarah has travelled back to 1939 and Veronica Roth Veronica plays a key part in the story I really enjoyed her character development we see her grow from lack of confidence and fear into quite a spectacular woman Telling lies to get into the school where Sarah teaches results in mayhem in the classroom and this isn t the only chaos she causes in Sarah s life One of the choices that Sarah makes causes John to be angry yes easy going John I am not a huge fan of fantasy books, with the exception of Narnia, Harry Potter and Terry Pratchett I much prefer my books to be based firmly in reality But a couple of years ago I came across A Stitch in Time and really enjoyed it So I was very pleased to see that Amanda James has written this sequel where we get to meet Sarah Yates and John Needler again Sarah is a stitch, a time traveller who goes into the past to sew holes and save a life For every life she saves, twoare saved Stitches are supposed to save three people, which works out as nine lives altogether hence the phrase a stitch in time saves nine John is a Needle he finds stitches and send them on their missions In the first book, Sarah and John fall in love, completely against the rules, and at the beginning of Cross Stitch we join them on their wedding day.
The wedding d Cross Stitch seems to make a perfect blend of romance, time travel and friendship It was great to see so many things develop Up to about halfway the book, the event of 1928 in the previous book was brought up again every chapter, so much that even I who had not read that previous book felt like the Weasley twins at the start of Harry Potter s second year, when Persey became Head Boy You might have told us, once or twice, every minute, all summer The other side of that coin is, that I did not feel like I missed any vital information at all, even while I have not read A Stitch in Time , and I could thoroughly enjoy the story because of that.
Have I told how much I liked Veronica She was awesome, and one wonderful example of a great and developing character I received an ebook through Netgalley in return for an honest review.
A Stitch In Time May Save Nine But A Cross Stitch Spells Disaster It Should Be The Happiest Day Of Her Life Despite Past Heartache, Sarah Yates Is Finally Marrying Her True Love, John NeedlerBut Sarah And John Can T Pretend They Re An Ordinary Couple They Re Time Travellers And Where Time Travel Is Involved, Nothing Runs Smoothly One Minute Sarah Is Saying Her Vows And The Next She Is Hurtled Back In Time To A Country That Is On The Cusp Of War, And Into The Company Of The Bad Tempered Veronica RatchetNewly Wedded Bliss Is Certainly Not On The Cards For Sarah As Events See Her Travelling From The British Punk Era ToS America And Even When She Returns Home She Can T Escape VeronicaBut When The Past And The Present Collide, That S When The Real Problems Start So this is the second book I have read by this author and it did not disappoint This book leads on from A Stitch in Time.
We enter Sarah Yates world again in this book I did wonder how this book could be different from the first one, would it beof Sarah s adventures which would have been fine as I thoroughly enjoyed them in the first book Ms James introduced an unexpected complication into this book when Sarah meets a woman in 1930 s London who makes her life and her time travellingcomplex Their destiny s are entwined and woven beautifully together.
Another fantastic read Hope you are writing Ms James I want .
