[ Pdf Mordraud, Book One º polish-literature PDF ] by Fabio Scalini Ì This book is a great surprise.
I downloaded this book for free from , i thought that being free, would have been a quick book , one of those book written quickly.
Instead was gorgeous, a Fantasy without superpowers, without strange animals, but with a story so well written and so well thought that is hard to leave the reading.
Best book ever, second only to Dune.
La cosa pi notevole in questo romanzo un sistema magico che si basa sul canto, un idea sviluppata bene e in modo non banale fin nei suoi dettagli Anche l ambientazione, pur non essendo di per s molto originale, curata e risulta perci verosimile e vivida Il ritmo complessivo della lettura risente di una prima parte lenta e a tratti confusionaria, in cui tramite flashback si pongono le basi di quelli che saranno i caratteri dei protagonisti partendo addirittura dalla storia d a dei genitori e indugiando IMO pi del necessario nel periodo della loro infanzia una volta che la trama finalmente decolla, per , l PRESENTED AT COMIC CON INTERNATIONAL, SAN DIEGO The Realm Of Cambria Has Been Ravaged By War For Decades Towns And Villages Are Reduced To Heaps Of Rubble And Wasteland On One Side, The Imperial Lances And Cambria S Fearsome Chanters, Capable Of Shaping Reality Through The Power Of Their Harmonies On The Other, Eldain S Proud Rebels, Guardians Of The Free Domains In The East Three Brothers Are Born And Grow Up Submerged In The Despair Of The Fighting, Smothered By A Hatred That Infects Them And Fuels Them To Seek Each Other Out On The Battlefield They Are Dragged By Remorse And Recrimination With Roots Too Deep To Be Eradicated, Tied Double To The Blood Steeped Failure Of Their Family And So The War Front Becomes The Stage Where Mordraud, Dunwich And Gwern Will Play Out Their Personal Tragedies, Between Irresistible Passions, Rampant Careers, And Drawn Out Nights Shivering In Tents Assailed By The Long Winter Peculiar Protagonists In A Winding, Worthwhile Story Kirkus Reviews Si tratta della storia di tre fratelli La loro genesi li rende straordinari non sono esattamente umani, ma non per questo non lo sono nei sentimenti Ciascuna delle sfumature caratteriali e dei risvolti interiori trattata con sensibilit e profondit Lo stile narrativo dettagliato, piacevole, talvolta crudo Gli eventi si dipanano con i tempi necessari ad assaporarne anche gli aspetti introspettivi insomma, lo scrittore non si pone il problema di affannarsi alla ricerca della frenesia a tutti i costi, questo in antitesi con quanto accade in molte produzioni attuali Ci non significa che manchi l azione, quella c ed stupendamente rappresentata, ma solo che essa intervallata da splendidi dialoghi a volte funzionali alla trama altre alla delineazione della psicologia degli interpreti Certo, i lettori che preferiscono The story and the tone of it honestly reminded me of The Witcher series on a far epic scale It follows three brothers across a realm wide war, in a time when villages are being burnt to the ground and death is an ever present threat It didn t mirror it so much as it had the same heart, and the characters had the same grit as The Witcher s morally gray protagonist, Geralt Scalini has combined all the things that make a long lasting and popular medieval fantasy epics intense battles, original realm mythology, and an immersive world set in a time of turmoil There s also, for those who enjoy it, a little bit of romance It s not easy to create an original setting for ideas that have been rehashed repeatedly, but somehow Scalini has managed to build up a world completely independent of any fantasy epic I ve read There are familiar elements without falling into a pre Set in an alternate reality, Mordraud is really an awesome book for fantasy lovers The vivid description of Cambria and Eld and the surrounding places caught and held my attention from beginning to end The intricate design of the story really brought my imagination to life, even to the point where I wouldn t even know where I was and what I was doing before I started to read this book The scenes and characters remain stuck in my mind long after I ve stopped reading The battle scenes and the struggles at the battlefield are so real that I felt as if I were a part of it, watching everything unfold around me.
I d likened the first book of this series to that of the Old Kingdom series, by author Garth Nix Both books use music as a medium to create and release power, a medium which I seldom come across The way the author explains the conce I have received a free copy of this book in exhange for an honest review I am in complete awe at how the book managed to capture my attention from the very start The struggles that the characters go through are complex given their state to which their heritage originates from, which allows for a supernatural thrill throughout the book It was translated from Italian to English, and I am sure that great care was taken to ensure the integrity of the story The characters were well developed, the story was easy to follow, and I am not one to spoil the read for potential fans of the book, but even if I had to pay for the book, I would do so in a heart beat It is an incredible read with all the correct elements of fantasy thrown in it to allow the reader some footing with real life and real struggles Pick it up You

I received a digital copy of this novel from Story Cartel in exchange for a review It began well, but then I started to lose interest a bit too much doom and gloom, albeit well written doom and gloom I skipped lots of pages, something I don t usually do while reading, but the beginning did make me want to find it worth reading I picked it up again in a new chapter with a change of character viewpoint and kept reading from there The story swept me in and didn t let go until done Now I m sorry I didn t read those pages Next read, for I feel I will read it again.
It took me a chapter or two to get into the story but after that, it read very smoothly Thank god for that because it s a long ass book and I hardly had time to read last week see my previous post When things picked up, I was internally screaming ZOMG, 5 stars already, yet this turned out to be a bit of premature excitement The further the story progressed, the lower my rating became Not dramatically low but just a bummer when you re thinking it s going to be 5 star material.
So, after a sluggish start, it gets really interesting and awesome for a good while We get to meet the Khartians, who are human, and the Aelians, who basically look like supermodel versions of humans and age very slowly It wasn t until I was 25% into the book when I discovered the pun after reading out loud for a bitI m slow like that You can compare the Aelians to elves than sci fi
